Watermill Monday

What a lovely day yesterday!! We stayed at the mill enjoying all the stunning places to paint on the grounds. Everywhere I looked there was a painter or two. Friday will be when we display our work and share a last glass of wine together.

The rush of the river pervades the background of all conversations but our group of friends chatters away despite. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful ground to share adventure s and the everyday with at home in Fort Myers Beach or here in Italy.

Our lunch was casual around the dining table...yes, all 18 of us!! Pans what's salad, baked fennel casserole, fresh bib lettuce, fruit and pastry....and of course wine!

For dinner we ventured to Five zzz no to the Caffe Elvetico and a Tuscan menu. Antipasti, three pastas,red ragu, white salsa de noci and a green pesto as a patriotic tribute to the Italian flag. Coffee and a locally made apple dolci finished it off. All was delicious!

A digestive in the main salon with more conversation ended the day.

Monday we are off to Verrucola and a castle to paint!!!
