Subject: A Sunny day at last

The sun finally shone today and Chris and I sobel have given up their day off to take us out to paint. After l breakfast we load our gear into the van and car for a day of i a ptinaag at last. The drive is about an hour and a half to the town of i Pyriac de Mer on the edge of the Mediterranean. The drive is pretty and interesting but we are happy to finally arri. ve. Because it is a national holiday, little is open but the town folk are all out enjoying the day.

After walking on the outer edge of the area and taking some photos, we find a place to paint in the park area. First we eat the sandwiches brought then get down to work. Some walk up the street to sketch. Three hours pass with more and more people coming to walk or play b occi. A couple artists move to avoid the metal balls. Neil has done two paintings at this site and one this morning of the rooster we saw yesterday.

On the way back to Limoux we stop to see the houseboats on the canal and take more photos for reference. Our dinner is at a brasserie on the square where we all order simple pizza or pasta. Last nights dinner was rich and delicious but everyone feels the need for a light meal today. Neil and Floyd guide us from the restaurant to where they stay. Wow!! It is a beautiful apartment renovated by Chris's . Three stories of old and new, very European and modern with tiny courtyards and terraces. What a treat for them and too bad they aren't spending more time in it.
The keyboard is acting up. Forgive the weird words.
