Ireland!!

Well, all of us but Kay made it here this morning after delays, 3 hrs waiting on the plane, rebookings and re routings. Kay should be here tomorrow.   We are tired and some napping now until dinner.....Neil is painting from a photo taken earlier.

Dinner will be at the Road House and we expect some salmon as they also own the Burren Smoke House which produces really good smoked salmon.

Tomorrow we will stay in town to paint and enjoy a relaxed day catching up with time.

holey smoke philly is socked in!!

Flight delays are keeping   just cancelled

And we are off..........

A note from Meg and Fred Bushnell....

"Fred and I I will try to keep up on your travels via Micele's blog spot. Both of us miss the excitement of traveling with all of you but I think our decision to forgo this trip waas a good one.  There is a lot of work Fred can do to help our farmer sons. The weather has really been a downer for growing corn and soybeans. Fred is still painting daily and is trying to ready himself for the 2 weeks in Colorado. Raise your glasses (at least once) for us and the rest who stayed at home while you have the pleasure of this experience. The Burrens are wonderous, the moors spledid, the the greens will be a challenge. Have a safe journey and a great time together. And Michele, please share thisd with all.  Meg and Fred"

We will miss both of you on this adventure.  Thanks for the advice and have a great time in Colorado painting some of our own country's beauty.

I am hoping I packed enough green pastels!!!  but I can't put one more thing in my bags!!

Tomorrow .......

As they say...Bags are packed and ready to go.....I'm leaving on a jet plane...    Final check today but everything I need, and some I probably don't need, is ready to jet to Ireland.  Once I get through that security check, being separated from my valuables really freaks me, I'll be good to go!!

All the artists are ready to work to capture the Burren area and town of Lisdoonvorna on paper, canvas and camera.  We have 3 non artist spouses who will be able to explore a bit while we work at our easels.  I hope to post some of their photos as well from time to time.

Thanks to those staying home and holding down the forts...we couldn't do this without your support!!

A week to go....

One week from today we will be on our way to Ireland!!  Cool weather is expected so a few more warm clothes are tossed into the mix. Hopefully it will be warmer than my last plein air session!

I've packed lots of green pastels in anticipation of the beautiful landscape and look forward to using them soon.  For now it's back to cleaning the studio!
