A pit stop!

We are here with just about enough time to get the laundry done and repack for San Miguel.  I had a stack of things set aside as well as my art equipment ready.  It takes a bit of thought to decide just what to bring and get it set for travel.  Wc paint must harden a bit before the lid is closed or it will slide around.  Learned that the hard way!

Our trip is shaping up with restaurant reservations, an invitation to a music performance with another art group, plans to visit a few sites and of course paint.  The weather is very cool in the morning and evening and hot in the middle of the day.  Layers and sox!!!

George's new chrome book is performing well.  He entered a few of the photos and comments from it and I will be writing the blog using it as well.  It's so much faster than his old netbook!!  and so much easier than two fingers on my kindle.

Next entry should be from San Miguel Allende, Mexico!!!  Adios

Grand Caymen

We must idle near shore as tender ports are not usable due to a storm last night. They will tender us to shore for the day. Odd since it has been smooth as glass as we sail.

A wine tasters dinner last night was interesting but way too rich. Tuna, Xavier and seaweed appetizer wasn't our favorite but gnocci,, bean veloute, and tornado was good. Wine delicious!!!  I may not eat today....ha!!!  It will be salads for sure though.

Pickleball at sea!

Dedication!

George working on his job description for FMBAA!! Waiting for 10am pickleball....me...shopping for bargains then walking the track. Very warm today so it will be the pool for us on this sea day. Wine tasting and formal dinner.

Tomorrow we have a special chefs table dinner to celebrate George's birthday. We'll post photos.

Beautiful sunrise over a sea day!!!

Beautiful sunset

It was amazingly beautiful with a big green flash as it sank into the ocean! Wish we would have had a camera handy.

Leaving Princess Cays

Beautiful day in the Bahamas...tender returning from the private island.

At sea...

Enjoying our cruise so far. Art too much but flights of stairs and the track should counteract.

Enjoying Kris's visit

We have had a nice week spending time with Kris at her favorite places here.  The beach, pool, walking, eating at the Cottage, shopping a bit in Naples and more beach. A sunset at the beach and another beach day on Sanibel will finish the visit in style.  In between times we worked on bullet journals to keep us organized.  or at least try!!  I'm so glad she was able to spend time here relaxing a bit and catching some rays.

FW: Catching up again!!

Subject: Catching up again!!

It’s been busy these past few months as the art scene is really in full swing here during season.  I entered exhibits, sold artwork and took a great workshop with Sally Cooper.  It all takes a lot of time, especially the sales and exhibits when art must be framed and ready.   So much fun though and I love the company of these wonderful inspiring artists everywhere.   Here are a few photos:

  Even Weave 8x8          Jewels 8x8

Neutrals     27x32        Reds   15x15 pastel  sold

I sold quite a bit this season so pressure is on to create some new work for next season’s exhibits.     Perhaps San Miguel Allende, the next painting adventure, will inspire!!
