A busy fall....

Just to catch up here!!!    We arrived in FM mid October in time to hang my exhibit at Big Arts on Sanibel.  Then on to participating in Paint the Beach and helping to set up at the gallery where we held the reception for the first time.  It went well but some missed the week long event we had in past years.  Sadly this was the last for a while.

I've been busy getting paintings read for exhibits, another at Big Arts for San Cap Art League and one at Captive and two at FMBAA.  Because they frequently run at the same time, I need several new things.  Right now I am working on one more pair for the next exhibit at Big Arts.  Must hurry to finish and enter.  Hope I'm accepted!!

These are exhibited now
Morning shells-pastel

Solere  mixed media

Blue Shade- pastel   but I added a couple more umbrellas in the distance

Reds-pastel

Today is a Baileys veranda sale which is the once a month event.  My hand made collage cards are selling well but large paintings are only sporadic.  Hope I sell some today!

Next week I'm in a workshop and that should be a blast!  Hope to be inspired!

The highlight of this fall has really been the family joining us in FM for Christmas week.  Only Jeff (preparing for trial) and Andrew (with his other grandparents) were missing.  All 10 of us stayed at the house, plus Odin and Beau.  Beds everywhere and tons of towels but lots of laughter and good food made for a wonderful holiday with loved ones.  It was the first time we stayed here for a warm Christmas.

We finished the old year and started the new with good friends Henry and Helma by having dinner and watching the fireworks over the FMB pier.  They were spectacular!!!

So on to the new year and more art and fun.  Painting, giving a gallery talk next week, and thinking about the painting trip to San Miguel Allende in Mexico in April.     And one of these days George will finally book the Great Britain cruise for next September and I can get to planning it...I love that part!!
